It has become critical to address the problem of Australian teacher shortages. The Australian Government has declared the teacher shortage an “unprecedented” challenge projecting a shortfall of more than 4,000 high school teachers by 2025 (Welch, 2022). However, shortages are being felt across the board, especially in rural and remote schools prompting a targeted national campaign to raise the status and value the role of the teaching profession.
